Agreement to Terms

By using Pop Pics, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Simple as that.

Who Can Use Pop Pics

• You must be at least 13 years old
• You need a valid phone number
• You agree to provide accurate information
• You can't have been previously banned for violating these terms

Your Account

When you create an account:

• Keep your login info secure (we use phone number verification, but still)
• You're responsible for everything that happens on your account
• Don't share your account with others
• Let us know immediately if someone gets unauthorized access
• One person = one account (no fake accounts or impersonating others)

What You Can (and Can't) Do

• Share photos with friends and family
• Create albums and organize your pics
• Use the widget feature
• Connect with people you actually know
• Delete your content whenever you want

❌ Things You Can't Do

• Post illegal content: No illegal stuff, period
• Harmful content: No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats
• NSFW content: Keep it PG-13. No explicit sexual content or nudity
• Minor exploitation: Zero tolerance for anything involving minors inappropriately
• Spam: Don't spam people with invites or messages
• Violate privacy: Don't share photos of people without their consent
• Hack or abuse: Don't try to break the app, scrape data, or use bots
• Impersonate: Don't pretend to be someone you're not
• Sell access: Don't sell your account or app features

Your Content & Ownership

Your photos are yours. You own all the photos you upload. We don't claim ownership.

However, by uploading photos to Pop Pics, you give us permission to:

• Store and display your photos to the people you choose to share with
• Process photos for features like widgets and thumbnails
• Back up your photos to keep them safe
• Use photos in aggregate/anonymized ways to improve the app (but never your specific photos publicly)

Important: When you share a photo with someone, they can screenshot or save it. Once shared, you can't completely control it. Be thoughtful about what you share.

Deleting Content

When you delete a photo:

• It's removed from our servers within 30 days
• It disappears from everyone's feeds immediately
• Backup copies are deleted in our regular cleanup cycles
• People who saved/screenshotted it still have their copy (we can't control that)

Privacy & Data

How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we take privacy seriously, we don't sell your data, and your photos are only shared with people you choose.

Termination & Suspension

We can suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these terms
• Post harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
• Harass other users
• Try to abuse or hack the app
• Are reported by multiple users for violations

You can also delete your account at any time in Settings. When you do, all your data gets deleted within 30 days.

App Availability & Changes

We're working hard to keep Pop Pics running smoothly, but:

• The app might have downtime for maintenance or updates
• Features might change or get added/removed
• We might need to stop supporting certain devices or OS versions
• In extreme cases, we might need to shut down the service (we'd give notice)

Disclaimers & Limitations

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" - lawyer speak for: we try our best, but we can't guarantee it'll be perfect 100% of the time.

We're not responsible for:

• Lost data due to phone issues, app bugs, or your own actions
• Disputes between you and your friends over shared photos
• How people use photos you share with them
• Third-party services we integrate with
• Internet connectivity issues

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pop Pics and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (which is probably $0 since the app is free).

Changes to Terms

We might update these terms occasionally. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last updated" date
• For major changes, we'll notify you in the app
• Continued use means you accept the new terms
• If you don't agree with changes, you can delete your account

Dispute Resolution

If there's a problem:

• First, email us and let's try to work it out like reasonable people
• If that doesn't work, any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
• Arbitration will be conducted under the American Arbitration Association rules
• You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits
• This is governed by California law

General Stuff

• Entire Agreement: These terms (plus our Privacy Policy) are the whole agreement
• Severability: If one part is invalid, the rest still applies
• No Waiver: If we don't enforce a rule once, doesn't mean we won't enforce it later
• Assignment: You can't transfer your rights under these terms. We can transfer ours if the business changes hands
