Pop Pics was built because we wanted a private place to share photos with friends without all the weird algorithm stuff. We take your privacy seriously because that's literally the whole point of the app.

What We Collect

Info You Give Us

• Phone number: Used to create your account and let friends find you
• Name: So your friends know it's you
• Photos: The ones you choose to upload and share
• Contact list (optional): Only if you want to find friends who already use Pop Pics

Stuff That Happens Automatically

• Device info: What kind of phone you have (iOS version, device model) so we can make sure the app works properly
• App usage: Basic stuff like when you open the app, which features you use, so we can fix bugs and make things better
• Crash reports: If the app crashes, we get a report so we can fix it

How We Use Your Info

We use your information to:

• Make the app work (obviously)
• Let you share photos with your friends
• Send you notifications when friends share new pics
• Help you find friends who are already on Pop Pics
• Fix bugs and improve the app
• Keep the app safe and prevent spam/abuse

What we DON'T do:

• Sell your data
• Show you ads based on your photos
• Train AI on your photos
• Share your photos with anyone you didn't choose
• Track you around the internet

Who We Share With

Your photos are only shared with the people YOU choose. That's it.

We do use some services to make the app work:

• Supabase: Where we securely store your photos and data (they're legit and encrypted)
• Apple: For push notifications
• Cloud storage providers: For backing up your photos securely

These services are bound by strict privacy agreements and can't use your data for anything else.

Your Rights & Controls

It's your data. Here's what you can do:

• Delete photos: Any time, just long-press and delete
• Remove friends: Unfriend anyone, and they lose access to your shared albums
• Delete your account: Go to Settings → Delete Account. Everything gets permanently deleted within 30 days
• Control contacts access: Revoke contact access in your phone's Settings any time

How We Protect Your Stuff

• All photos are encrypted in storage
• Secure connections (HTTPS/SSL) for everything
• Regular security audits
• Limited employee access to user data (only when absolutely necessary for support)

Kids & Privacy

You need to be at least 13 years old to use Pop Pics. If we find out someone under 13 is using the app, we'll delete their account. Parents: if you think your kid is using Pop Pics and they're under 13, let us know and we'll handle it.

Changes to This Policy

If we need to update this policy, we'll let you know through the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Major changes will get a notification so you're not caught off guard.

International Users

Pop Pics is based in the United States. If you're using the app from somewhere else, your data will be stored on servers in the US, but we protect it the same way regardless of where you are.

California Privacy Rights

If you're in California, you have additional rights under CCPA:

• Know what personal info we collect and how we use it
• Request deletion of your personal info
• Opt-out of sale of personal info (though we don't sell data anyway)
